Hardware Used : Kinect

ART IN MOTION : The Living Canvas

This project aims to provide a safe space for those that are constantly on-the-go to have a moment of peace and quiet. An immersive exhibit is created to engage with the visitor through motion detection. This project is based on a painting by Sulaiman Esa titled "Ayer Molek II", where it depicts a garden in that said place. Through this project, visitors will have a chance to "step" into the painting.

This interactive exhibit was made possible with the use of Kinect to detect the movement of the visitors. They are able to move  through the "grass" while being followed by butterflies. This gives the impression of walking in a garden. The static painting was also brought to life through Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
